A great result for Club MMGR junior pádel academy star crowned regional padel champion in the children’s category
In the tournament played at the end of November, the student of the Club Mar Menor Golf Resort pádel academy, María García Alcaraz, was proclaimed Pádel Champion in the children’s category of the Pádel Federation of the Region of Murcia (FPRM) Tournament.
In the FPRM tournament, María, together with playing partner Clara Alarcón from Murcia, won their matches with ease, the final score being 6-4 and 6-0.
With the victory in this tournament, María becomes the only Torre Pacheco resident to be Regional Champion in two consecutive years, last year in the juvenile category and this year in her debut in the children’s category.
This is not the first time María has hit the pádel headlines after becoming the first representative from the Torre Pacheco area called up by the Murcian regional team to play in the national level children’s category. Also, in January of 2024 Maria together with her playing partner Claudia Torres competed in and were proclaimed champions of the First stage event of the Region of Murcia Pádel competition in the junior’s category at the Cartagena Pádel Club.
